sWe offer specialist physiotherapy student placements in the West Midlands, giving you the opportunity to experience how physiotherapy can make a lasting difference for people living with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions.

Muscular dystrophy is a rare, progressive condition with no cure. Physiotherapy plays a vital role in helping people maintain movement, independence, and quality of life for as long as possible. If you want to see the real impact of physiotherapy in a specialist setting, we would love to hear from you.

  • Observe and support physiotherapy assessments and treatment sessions
  • Learn how treatment plans are adapted as conditions change over time
  • Understand the role of physiotherapy in long-term progressive conditions
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, high-quality care
  • Develop your clinical thinking in a specialist neurological setting

Placements at the MD Support Centre are designed to support your learning while giving you meaningful exposure to specialist practice in a supportive and collaborative environment.
